Things to Do

Central KY Day Trips ActivitiesSnug Hollow Farm located in the heart of the state, is within a short drive of many artistically, culturally and historically significant areas of Kentucky – as well as shopping, hiking and horseback riding.

About 8 miles from us is Tater Knob Pottery – a must see.

We are 20 country miles east of Berea, the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky and home to Berea College, which offers student crafts, handmade furniture and musical instruments.

About 45 minutes via the Mountain Parkway you will reach Slade, Kentucky, and the world famous hiking areas of Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge. Enjoy zip lines, incredible wildflowers, sky lift and rock climbing.

Travel south to experience live performances at Renfro Valley Music Hall, Kentucky’s County Music Capital, or visit the nearby Meadowgreen Music Park for a real bluegrass cultural experience.

It’s about an hour’s drive west to the famous Bluegrass Region of central Kentucky, home of historic Lexington, Keeneland Racetrack and the Kentucky Horse Park. We can arrange horse farm tours as well as horseback riding day trips.

A little further west from Lexington is the small college town of Midway, also renowned as an arts and crafts Mecca. Other attractions you may wish to visit while in Kentucky are Lincoln’s birthplace and boyhood home, wine tours, Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail, Mammoth Caves or Carter Caves.
