Kentucky born and raised, Barbara Napier has lived on the farm for 34 years, raising her family, building, dreaming and working to create Snug Hollow. At last, in 2000, she opened the Farmhouse as a Bed & Breakfast. Over the years, the Cozy Cabin and the Cabin by the Creek were restored and built to make the Kentucky experience complete.
Snug Hollow has been featured in Southern Living, Midwest Living, National Geographic Traveler, Frommer’s USA and Kentucky Monthly. Travel writer Linda Romine describes Barbara as “a personable cross between Alice Waters and Tasha Tudor [who] has become renowned for her gourmet vegetarian cooking and organic gardens, and the warm hospitality she showers on guests at her Appalachian bed-and-breakfast.” She describes Snug Hollow as “an eco-friendly, 300-acre farm encircled by gentle mountains.”
Except for bird calls and the wind, the hollow graces its guests with the sound of silence.
