Booking & Policies
Reservations & Deposits
Reservation requests are submitted through our website booking form, by phone, or email. A $100 deposit is required to submit a booking request online. Upon owner approval, the deposit will be charged and deducted from your final total at checkout.
Minimum Age to Book
The primary reservation holder must be at least 21 years of age and must be present onsite for the duration of the stay. We may request ID at check-in.
Cancellation & Rebooking Policy
We do not allow cancellations; however, we offer a one-time free rebooking option within four months of the original booking date. If you are unable to fulfill your reservation and do not have a new date in mind, we will issue a gift certificate redeemable within 12 months of the original reservation date.
Gift certificate redemption is subject to availability and cannot be used during our peak season months of May and October. Certificates are issued based on the original reservation rate (weekday or weekend). If a gift certificate for a weekday rate is redeemed on a weekend, a two-night minimum stay is required, and additional payment will apply to cover the rate difference.
Severe Weather & Force Majeure
Snug Hollow is located in the rural Appalachian foothills, and weather or road conditions may occasionally affect travel to the property. We encourage guests to check local weather and road advisories before arrival and to ensure their vehicle is suited for rural, gravel roads. In the rare event we must close the property due to an emergency, our standard rebooking/gift certificate policy (above) will apply.
Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in: Begins at 3:00 PM
- Checkout: By 11:30 AM
Early check-in requests are accepted but may incur a fee if before 2:00 PM and are subject to availability.
Additional Guests
Rates are based on double occupancy. Additional guests are charged $60 per person, per day. Children under 6 stay free; children aged 7–12 receive a prorated rate.
Visitors & Day Guests
We welcome guests staying onsite to have visitors join them during their stay. If your total group size (overnight guests plus visitors) will exceed 10 people, please discuss this with ownership in advance of your visit so we can ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on the property.
Non-paying, day-only visitors must follow all property guidelines and are welcome to enjoy the grounds, trails, and outdoor spaces at their own risk. Snug Hollow Farm does not assume liability for any visitors who are not registered, paying guests.
Pets & Service Animals
Snug Hollow is a pet-free facility to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests. We welcome service animals and ask that guests notify us in advance if they will be bringing one.
On a case-by-case basis, guests may request approval from ownership to bring a pet. If approved, a $75 pet fee will be added to the stay. Additional cleaning fees will apply if a pet makes an excessive mess (see Excessive Cleaning & Damage Fees below), and guests are responsible for the prompt removal and disposal of all pet waste and for any damage their pet causes.
Excessive Cleaning & Damage Fees
While normal wear and tear is expected, extreme cases requiring excessive cleaning may result in an additional fee of $200–$400, charged to the card on file at our discretion based on the severity of cleanup required. This includes, but is not limited to: trash left outside of provided receptacles, linens or towels soiled to the point of requiring special sanitizing or treatment, and cleanup of bio-hazard material (bodily waste, vomit, etc.). If applicable, we will reach out to guests after checkout with a breakdown of the cleaning required and associated fees before any charge is made.
Guests are also responsible for any damage to cabins, linens, rugs, carpets, or floors, as well as any pet waste that is not cleaned up and properly disposed of. Additional charges will apply to cover repair, replacement, or cleaning costs.
Smoking Policy
Snug Hollow is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not permitted inside any cabin or suite. Guests who smoke indoors will be charged an additional cleaning fee to treat and deodorize the space.
Accessibility
We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all guests. Please contact us in advance with any accessibility needs so we can accommodate you as best as possible.
Nature & Outdoor Areas
Snug Hollow is surrounded by nature, with trails, a labyrinth, and paths around our pond, all tucked within the forest. We are, quite literally, in the wild, and the wildlife that shares this land with us takes priority as we work to preserve the natural landscape.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our trails, labyrinth, pond paths, and all outdoor spaces, but do so at their own risk.
Fireplace & Fire Pit Safety
Some of our accommodations include a fireplace. Please follow all posted instructions, never leave an open flame unattended, and keep children and pets a safe distance away.
We also have a shared fire pit available in the common area near the creek. Guests are welcome to request a fire be set up during their stay, and we simply ask that it be fully extinguished using the water bucket provided once you’re finished.
Quiet Hours & Respect for Nature
To maintain the peacefulness of Snug Hollow and respect our other guests and wildlife, we observe quiet hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum and enjoy the natural surroundings with care.
Photo & Media Release
From time to time, we may photograph or film the property and grounds for marketing purposes. If you’d prefer not to appear in any photos or videos taken during your stay, please let us know in advance. Reviews, testimonials, or photos you voluntarily share with us may be used in our marketing materials, including our website and social media, unless you request otherwise.
