A stay at Snug Hollow is more than just a place to rest your head — it’s an invitation to slow down and soak it all in. Whether you’re looking to truly unwind with a private massage, explore a beloved local studio, or rejuvenate body and soul at a one-of-a-kind wellness experience, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite local gems to help you make the most of your time in the holler.
Relax with a Private Massage
If deep relaxation is what you’re after, there’s no better way to settle into your stay than with a private massage. We work directly with Emily Clifton, owner of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and are happy to connect you with her so you can schedule a session right during your visit. Just let us know when you arrive — or even before you come — and we’ll make sure you leave feeling as peaceful as the holler itself.
Tater Knob Pottery & Farm
Just a scenic afternoon drive through the Red Lick Valley, you’ll find one of Madison County’s most beloved hidden treasures: Tater Knob Pottery & Farm. Founded in 1981 by artist Sarah Culbreth, Tater Knob has spent over four decades creating beautiful, functional pottery that reflects the rich craftsmanship and artistic spirit that Berea is known for. Every piece is wheel-thrown from red clay and kiln-fired to 2,185°F, making them lead-free, food-safe, and built to last a lifetime. The studio is open Monday through Saturday, 10am–5pm, and a visit to the gallery — where you might even catch Sarah at the wheel — is an experience well worth the drive.

Berea Salt Cave & Arts
When you’re ready for something truly one-of-a-kind, pay a visit to our dear friend Amanda at Berea Salt Cave & Arts — one of only three fully immersive salt cave experiences in the entire state of Kentucky. Nestled in Berea, this holistic wellness and creative community space offers halotherapy sessions inside a stunning hand-crafted salt cave, where the warm glow and salt-infused air leave you feeling genuinely refreshed and restored. Beyond the cave, Amanda and her team offer near-infrared light therapy, Reiki, Aura Tuning, and a rotating schedule of yoga and healing arts. It’s the kind of place that’s hard to describe until you’ve experienced it yourself — and once you do, you’ll understand why we send every guest their way.
